Unraveling mechanisms of cardiovascular disease at the intersection of hypoxia, metabolic dysfunction, and cancer-directed therapies
Our
research
The Baik Lab investigates how tissues sense and adapt to chronic low oxygen states. Our work is centered on identifying novel regulators of hypoxia signaling and translating these discoveries into new insights for cardiovascular and cardiometabolic disorders.
Our research is funded by the NIH, Burroughs Wellcome Fund, and American Heart Association-Harold Amos Award.
